This year Jamboree is excited
to announce its line-up
Tony Moore
Award winning singer/songwriter, performer, broadcaster, TV presenter, events host, motivational speaker, actor, magician, entrepreneur and after dinner speaker.
He began his career in the music industry playing keyboards as an original member of "Iron Maiden". He then went on to form a band called "Tanz Der Youth" with Brian James (ex Damned) and achieved critical acclaim as part of the "New Wave" of British Music at the end of the 70's. In 1986 he joined a band called Cutting Crew as keyboard player and they went on to have massive world wide success with a song called "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" which was number 1 in 17 different countries.
In the late 90's Tony Moore launched a seminal venue for songwriters in Central London called The Kashmir Klub . His entrepreneurial instinct and passion for music helped him establish a ground breaking club that went on to discover and develop artists like Damien Rice, KT Tunstall, Imogen Heap, The Feeling and many more. At the start of 2003, building on the success of the Kashmir Klub, he took over The Bedford in Balham and turned it into one of the most successful small venues in the country. Where, once again, he played a significant role in the careers of artists such as Paolo Nutini, James Morrison, Newton Faulkner, Amy Macdonald and a host of others.
In 2004 he began a 3 year run as co-host of an overnight chat show on BBC London where he brought in many of the acts that he was championing and gave Londoners their first chance to hear artists like Imogen Heap and Paolo Nutini. During the last 20 years Tony has hosted hundreds of events, from Charity Balls to Industry Seminars, Live Music events like Hop Farm festival (48,000 people) to numerous private functions.
Tony Moore is the consumate professional whose ability to convey inspirational ideas, essential truths and amusing anecdotes make him much in demand.
